I think I'm going to take a study break and treat myself to a movie. Hmm, I think I'll see Brothers.

eta: and I'm watching Inside Edition and I just read the text messages that Tiger was sending to Ms. Bimbo. If I was his wife, I seriously would be SO outta there.

I get to go back to Texas next week. Hooray!

Sadly, I don't have time to breathe anytime between now and my flight. le sigh.

I'm watching the news and there's a pet hoarder who had 41 cats. They were kept two to a carrier and they were found covered with urine and feces. One of the cats eyes were closed shut. This makes me so mad.

Oh how I remember those days. I used to get home from college a few days before Christmas Eve. My mom would say "I waited to put up the tree and do the baking so we could do it together!" All I could think was "I really need to sleep for 24 hours straight before I can do ANYTHING". I'm so glad my class ended long before the holidays

I'm pretty excited. Tonight, after bible study, the pastor asked me to lead one of the groups in the singles retreat next weekend. I guess I'd better start thinking of some fun things we can do.

What's up with your siggy? Don't you think that's a little harsh on here? That's not stepping on folks toes, that's like walking on feet wearing a pair of old school baseball kleets.

lol
Nothing. I was watching Animal House last night, and I thought that part was hilarious. I mean, I agree with it, but I wasn't trying to step on any toes.

Congrats on your retreat next weekend. Your pastor made an excellent choice for the job.

Let him know too next time around if he isn't that sure about a date, just make plans to go out and get drinks or grab a quick bite that way he doesn't feel obligated to shell out so much for a date that he may not enjoy.

@ the bolded.

I agree with you. But I told him that there's nothing wrong with wanting the physical, because physical attraction is also the fun and exciting part of any healthy relationship. But the problem is in our culture, it's the physical desires and emotions that are the entire basis for almost every romantic relationship. This (to me) is one of the primary reasons why his relationships as well as many other folks don't work. I basically told him to think of the physical desires and emotions as merely the icing on the cake...I guess I would say it's what adds the extra dimensions of flavor to a relationship. But it's not the ingredient that keeps a romance together. IMO, it just comes down to this. If we don't have a lasting love and commitment for our significant other as the foundation of our relationship, we won't have anything at all, and this is what he, as well as many people have a hard time understanding.

I specifically remember making a special stop to the lab so I could print my personal statement and put it in the envelope before I went to the post office. I remember because I forgot to put my name, email, and birthdate on the thing so I had to print it again. So what do you mean that it wasn't in the application packet??? I checked at least 4 times! Urgh, at least they emailed me instead of just dismissing the entire app.

But still WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT WASN'T IN THERE????

I think I might have a nervous breakdown waiting to hear the final word on my interview.
