I don't agree with that...I think back to the last couple months of my senior year. My sister and I kept avoiding going to the career placement office...I was waiting for my scope to dump his skanky girlfriend for me...and senior walk was coming up. We did receive info about alum involvement at a meeting, but I am pretty sure it got pitched...I wasn't in any way ready to think of myself as an alumna. I was enjoying sisterhood in the now.

OK, 6 months later. I've boomaranged back to my parents' house, 150 miles away from my best friends in the world, and am working a job that is boring, to say the least. I think I would have dissolved in tears of joy/gratitude to receive something from ASA nationals telling me how I as a new alumna could get involved. I was open and receptive to it then, where I hadn't been earlier.

I know everyone has different perspectives but this was mine...I doubt I was the only one who felt this way.

I'm glad all of you are finding the PP useful and passing it along! I also thought it was great and wish I could have seen it in person!

www.deltazeta.org On the left hand side, go to the link that says "Collegiate Zone" and it should be there!

Thumbs up

I think if you look at some of the GCers, especially those that post or are Moderators, many are Alums.

We all get into the world of getting a new job, or starting a Family.

Such Great posters as DAlum, Lenoxx, lifesaver, GPhiBeta Lt.Coln, JMOM, LXAAlum, ErikConard, Jono, And Many more to large to list all are Alums who maybe for some reason such as my self, stepped back for a while, but are back big time!

We are the ones who say: Fraternity/Soroity are for Life!

If it were not for the Alums of My Chapter, we would not have maybe 20 Brothers who drive to the Chapter for a Leadership Weekend, or donate money for a new House that we are trying to build, go down for Founders Day ( I worked and got 80 Alums back), or Homecominng!

Who of Greek Life wouold go back to Homecoming unless your Org. Was There?
