Question Graduate Member versus Alumnae Member

I was curious to know what the difference is between a graduate member of a sorority versus an alumnae member. I remember seeing the term 'Alpha Alumnae' chapter being used and I also recall someone mentioning the difference. With respect to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated can someone be so kind as to explain this to me if at all possible? If someone from another organization wishes to help me, thank you . If this is an inappropriate question, I apologize in advance. Peace.

I suppose there may be a difference within other organizations, and with others they mean basically the same thing. With Alpha Kappa Alpha, once a soror graduates college she may wish to affiliate herself with a graduate (a.k.a. alumnae) chapter.
