WUSTL suspends Sig Ep

Washington University in St. Louis and the national organization has suspended recognition and operations for Sigma Phi Epsilon. The fraternity and the university are not commenting on why, except to say that it is unrelated to the suspension of SAM earlier this year.

Per a contact in the Greek Life office, the university is kicking them off campus permanently. It's hazing related, but the person would not give more details.

The person also stated that WUSTL fraternities "have issues" and the remaining fraternities need to straighten up and fly right or they'll be removed, too. The university is perfectly content to have an NPC presence with no IFC presence. The remaining IFC groups will be so advised.

SAM was kicked out for drug problems earlier this year.
