DU recharters at Vermont
DU has rechartered at Vermont. DU existed at Vermont from 1850-1854 when the local group withdrew and became Delta Psi( no connection to the national fraternity of the same name) which closed in 2007. The oldest recharter in DU history. DU has now installed two chapters in New England this year and is beginning to grow in an area where DU was very strong in the past but suffered since the 1950s as Greek Life declined in New England.

Alpha Epsilon Pi installed their colony at California State University-Chico this past weekend.
Phi Delta Theta initiated colonizations at McGill University(Quebec) and Denison University(OH)(recharter) recently. Good luck to the new colony members.

Congratulations to Lambda Chi Alpha on their recent chartering at the University of Tampa(FL), and to Sigma Pi on colonizing the first IFC fraternity at Pfeiffer University(NC).

Once in awhile, an NPC sorority will keep very "hush-hush" their presentation to a campus (and only local women from that "quiet" group will know, not telling online). So as much as some may know of other presenting groups to a campus (but in this particular case, not me) the "quiet" group's members may choose sorority silence over giving-out information on where they are presenting. This is how greekchat sometimes ends up listing as the eventual colonizing sorority a presenting group no one originally saw listed on GC.
There have been rare campus situations where the interest group or the campus truly has one definite NPC group in mind, but they invite additional presenters as a courtesy to NPC even though it may be somewhat understood by all presenters that the preferred group will more often than not be chosen.
And there are times only one group is interested in colonizing on a campus, then the campus/panhel/interest group has the right to tell the one presenter either yes or no to a colony.

Congratulations to Pi Kappa Phi on the recent chapter installation at the University of Louisville(KY).
Lambda Theta Phi has begun colonization activities at the University of Iowa. Good luck to the new members.

The Sigma Chi chapter at Clemson University(SC) has voluntarily surrendered their charter.
The chapter had lost recognition by the university (while still recognized by Sigma Chi) several years ago. This loss of recognition affected the ability to recruit, leading to the eventual surrender of the charter.
