Exclamation Court reporter needs help with Greek name please!!!!!

I am a court reporter in Jacksonville. In taking a deposition of a lady here in town her sorority is bought up more times than I really count. She is supposed to be in it in the natinal level, but I can not find it listed anywhere, including here. Of course, I do not know how to spell it, so that might be slowing me down somewhat If someone knows the correct spelling, you would be saving me a world of work. It sounds like Phi Fie to me. Any ideas will be greatly appriecated. Thank you.

Question

lauren,
im no expert on greek letters, but i have a chart here, and i know that Phi is a real letter, and all the other letters that could be 'fie' are, in my opinion; xi, pi, chi and psi.
that probably didnt help, but i'll bet someone else knows more than i do

check out the chart of the greek alphabet with the actual greek letters and english names at: www.msoe.edu/~tritt/greeklr.html

that should be the right address, maybe this will help.

ethan ;o

sounds like pi phi like everyone else has said. By the way, phi is pronounced like "fee" if it follows a greek vowel, otherwise it is pronounced like 'fie" (long I). Hope it helps
