Amerie

Am I the only person who finds her song (the one that says "Is this one thing" or something like that OVER and OVER again) completely annoying?

Plus I was just watching like TRL or something and she was doing a performance. Ok if you're gona use a backing track, fine. But sing at least PART of the song and not just a few words here and there and don't make it freaking obvious. Everyone in the crowd was just standing there watching like "duh".

Sorry had to vent cuz I've heard a lot of people like her. Are all her songs this annoying?

It's not just you! Everytime I hear it I want to twist my ears off cos of how off key she sings-it reminds me of the Lumidee phase when people would listen to it and it would get stuck in your system.

By the way I thought her name was Annmarie for a couple of weeks before I saw it written down.

I think she's beautiful and usually I like her stuff.

But this song. OH GOD. Ripping my arm off and chewing on it sounds better than the friggin' song.

It's very tragic. She's so much better than that.

Maybe I'll have to download some of her other songs cuz this is just absolutely horrible. It kinda makes me wana have a heart attack cuz it makes my heart race. Kinda sounds like a Beyonce rip off too.

it might sound like a Beyonce ripoff because its the same producer that Beyonce uses frequently. The producer of this song produced "Crazy in Love" by B

Argh, I find the song annoying too. To me, the beat makes me think more of J. Lo than Beyonce. I think it's the "oh, oh, oh, oh" part and the beginning of the song. It drives me crazy because the beginning of her song sounds a lot like the beginning of "Get Right" and everytime "1 Thing" comes on the radio, I'm like "oooh, yeah, it's that J.Lo song....oh, wait, it's that Amerie song".

I'm glad that i'm not the only one that finds this song soo annoying. Didn't she only have 1 other "hit" song before this one?

she had a hit song called "why dont we fall in love" which was ALSO produced by Rich Harrison, producer of 1 Thing and Crazy in Love, she also had another single from her first album called Talkin to Me that never was quite as popular. Her next single will probably by the Lil Jon produced "Touch"

any other questions ?

Rich Harrison also produced "Get Right". This makes me wonder how good of a producer he is if Amerie, Beyonce, and J. Lo all have the same beat for different songs that came out at different times?

She sounds so off key in the song that at first I thought it was Jennifer Lopez singing it.
