Rush advertisments

I went to go see Reign of Fire tonight....wasn't impressed, and you know how they have local businesses and orgs that put up signs before they show the previews?? I was wondering if any of you had put RUSH XYZ at College kinda thing???? And if so do you think it worked? I was thinking, "man that might be an awesome way to get some people during rush." Thought i'd throw it out there to see if you guys have tried it.

Haha. Sounds like an interesting idea, but I don't think I would want to "advertise" my chapter in that manner. I really wouldn't want to have my chapter be associated with the entertainment industry and have people subconciously evoking the cliched movie images of greeks. It just seems a bit cheese to me.

It depends on how small the town is. In a big town such as LA or San Diego, I think non collegians would think it was some kind of joke.

Or are you speaking of films shown on campus? Because that would better reach your demographic. Sorry, perhaps you could clarify?
