Talking Duke takes quota!

Duke's results are out on the Rush listing in General forums. It states Alpha Phi got quota of 34. 7 of 9 chapters made quota. The article states this is the best we've done in several years there. The article also states about 100 girls dropped out of rush to go thru ZTA's colonization process. AOPi only got 16. Seems a shame that ZTA is being allowed to come on with a couple of chapters stuggling. Glad Alpha Phi did well!

Congratulations to the ladies at Duke! And as for chapters coming on when other chapters are struggling, the same thing happened at the school where I advise, and one of the struggling chapters closed back in November.

(Edited because I can spell. Really I can.)

Sistermadly, I feel your concern.

Last I heard ZTA was doing the same thing at my alma mater. We just has ASA come on Fall 2003 and colonize officially in March.

ZTA is supposed to part of formal recruitment this wknd, by having an open house. Then they are going to begin their process after formal recruitment.

Trouble is, ASA is struggling and the other 3 groups are only at 50 women. So I'm not sure why A)our admin is letting a 5th group colonize B) why ZTA is taking the risk.

My alma mater just went to a 2 wknd recruitment. Me, being the good alum, am going down next wknd for round 3, pref, and bid day.

I'll report more once it's over and I find out more info on their colonization process and involvement in recruitment.

*I am not in any way trying to disgrace ZTA, they are a great org, I'm just concerned about when they are colonizing on my alma mater, knowing the makeup of the campus and greek life on it.

congrats to Duke

I've been to their recruitment before to help out in the past and I'm so happy to hear that they've done a fantabulous job!

Duke's recruitment process (from what I have been told) is really nuts and competitive so I'm really glad Alpha Phi did as well as they did
