Is it normal to find a house you like and can see yourself living in but nervous/apprehensive/scared to put a bid in? I'm sick of renting and want to own a house but part of me is like "oh hell no" regarding taking on such a large endeavor.

As someone who is 23 days away from closing...it is TERRIFYING. In PA, we have to make the first offer in writing, and there is a literal SHIT TON of papers to sign. And then you wait. And then there's a flurry of papers to sign. And then you wait. And some stuff happens. And then you wait. And then there's maybe some negotiation. And then the closing happens (hopefully).
But...every day that we go back to our apartment, we say to ourselves, "Holy crap I can't wait til we move into the house!"
tl;dr: Being an adult is terrifying, but renting is for the birds.
