UT "summer rush"

So I'm a hs senior in austin, and people that have rushed at UT in the past have said that going to unofficial events in the summer is a HUGE part of rushing for the bigger sororities at UT. Now I know its against rules, but it happens, and to be noticed in the fall the incoming freshman have to participate. However, I was recently told that Nationals heard about this and will be making sure it does not happen this summer. Anyway, I was just wondering if anybody currently in a sorority at UT knew about this and could tell me if its true or not. Thanks!

I do not have any definite info on this, but have heard that they are clamping down on the summer activities. I am sure someone else will come along with more info.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. This is funny.

Not laughing at you ashley, just that I really don't think this is going to be the case. If it was that easy...it would have happened a long time ago.

Forbidding summer rush events and having sororities ACTUALLY take heed to the rule are 2 different things.

No truer words have been spoken. Things just won't be as overt. Nothing will change as far as how bids are determined. The "top girls" will always be the ones everyone wants and the Big Six will always get them.
