Educational Event Ideas?

Hey,

On our campus we have to throw at least one educational event on campus per semester. Last semester we researched study habits and made it into a presentation.

This semester we were looking into a resume writing or first aid (Co-sponsored with our volunteer ambulance). We were hoping to make it a bigger event than what we have so far. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Could you be a little more specific? Particularly, who requires you to have this event, the school or your fraternity?

The school requires us to host the event. Unfortunatly I cannot be too much more specific with you because the instructions are very vague.

Hmmm..... well there's a lot of ways you can go. I'm sure just about every office at your school has some Dean or Assistant Dean who is qualified to give some sort of workshop or lecture.

One thing that seems to be taking flight at some schools is organizations made up of men who are interested in stopping date rape. If that seems to be the case at your school, it would be positive press for your chapter.

If you have a career service center, you could easily hoast a resume writing workshop. College students often throw together resumes with little knowledge or advice. In this economy though, you need your resume to be more than perfect to get noticed among all the other jobless 20 & 30 somethings.
