Well since most don't have access to the story, I'll sum it up:
A Bloc Quebecois MP, Andre Bellavance, has refused to provide Canadian flags to veterans for Remembrance Day services. As he has said: "Personally, as a Bloc Quebecois MP, I don't feel the obligation to distribute Canadian flags"... but he'll provide a toll-free number to the federal Heritage Department if constituents want Canadian flags.
Now this is pretty typical actually... as it amounts to just another bit of political agrandizing by a seperatist politician... again...

The Quebec Liberals should send these veterans all the flags they need and then just happen to bring up the fact in the next election.
I mean, they're veterans! I know we might not treat our veterans as well as we should, but that's no excuse!

I saw a really sad story on Global news last night, where a veteran selling poppies at a Toronto mall was virtually ignored.

Well looks like Harper decided to try and cash in
Bloc flag flap offers "great opportunity" to appreciate veterans: Harper
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...ance_bloc_flag
However my favourite quote on the subject came from a CBC interview last night with a Bloc member.... haven't been able to find transcript but here's a paraphrasing of it:
"If it wasn't for these veterans we wouldn't have the luxury of being able to seperate politically from Canada"

This should make for some interesting times in the House, since the Bloq and the Conservatives tend to buddy up against the Liberals...

Don't even get me started on the Bloq!
This is terrible and it seems to happen all too often. How many stories have we heard where and an MP or MPP won't help out a Vet.?
It's rather disgusting and I'll just leave it at that.
