honeychile, I PM'd you with the "item number" so you can scope it out yourself.

I have to admit, I've never seen an AXD Mother's pin, but did notice the loop. It's very lovely!

I totally want to save up for one!
Just $392.50 for an all diamond badge?! That's amazing!

I can't make the picture work, but this is a Delta Tau Delta pin with what appears to be engraving around the border. Seller says its dated 1951 but it looks significantly older, and I've never seen anything like it before.

Wow that's a beautiful DTD badge. Being honest, I think our standard pin is rather "blah". The engraving on that one is very cool and I also have never seen anything like it.

http://npcsororitybadges.blogspot.co...ch/label/opals

My absolute favorite is the 1944 Theta badge at the bottom of the badge. Stunning.

I love opals and I think they look gorgeous on badges, but Kappa doesn't offer it as an option. Does anyone know how much it would cost to have opals set in a badge? Is that even feasible? I have absolutely no concept of what "after market" badge detailing would involve, but it would be such a lovely, unique thing to have if I could get it done. And I doubt I'll ever find a vintage opal KKG badge, much less one I could afford...

ETA: Just found this old thread about opal badges!

I. would sell. my soul. for that Theta badge.

I need to photograph my mother-in-law's 1935 pearl Chi Omega badge - maybe when #1 daughter (my IT person) comes for Christmas.

Jen, I just checked the prices, and the small crown all diamond is $930, the large crown is $1300. Those are the 10K prices. gulp.

This badge is more than lovely; it's spectacular, actually. IMO it gives the gorgeous President's diamond badge cause to be envious.

Oh how I wish Dyer, or another jeweler of that caliber, would once again offer custom badges... if wishes were horses...

I love how that opal Theta badge has larger opals in the points and smaller ones along the sides of the kite. It's very elegantly done - made even nicer by the elongated Dyer points!
