Informal rush info and advice...

I am going to be starting rushing very soon at my school and I don't know much about how the informal rush process works... I am wondering how the sorority women will be able to get to know everyone (there are a lot of girls rushing). What should I be expecting? Is there anything I should or shouldn't do to get to know them and make an impression? Thanks

That's a very broad question. If you browse around through the various recruitment stories and threads in the recruitment forums on GC, you'll probably get a better idea of what to expect than anything that I could respond to you in one post. Start with the "Rush -- what NOT to do or say" thread. Here's the link: http://www.greekchat.com/gcforums/sh...ad.php?t=30758

Ready set go,

Please slow down that pace, grab a cup of coffee or tea and read, read, read as much as you can on various threads about recruitment. Sob stories and success stories - they are all there.

You can be well prepared in a very short time. Once you have read many many threads, come back to this one and ask away.

We tend to not be overly giving of information to newbies when hundreds have come before them and asked the same questions. Gets kind of tiring.

Best of luck.
