How to separate sisters into bump groups

I have just recently been elected as my chapter's new Formal Recruitment Chair. Our chapter has not had a very good retention rate in the past and I am really wanting to step up our game. I feel that one of our weak points is how we split up our girls into bump groups for recruitment and effectively matching pnms to them. Last year we did very stereotypical ones such as smart, athletic, etc. and it didn't work well because, for instance, not every pnm that has a good gpa is going to click with "the smart girls". It is also hard considering the limited info we receive on the pnms. I would just like to know some other ideas that have worked for yall! Thank you!
