D9 sorority rush

What is the protocol for attending two rushes for the same organization but different chapters? I was invited back to one chapter, but I ended up having car trouble as soon as that happened and wasn't able to pay my dues on October 22 as instructed. However, another chapter in the same general area is having fall and spring intakes. I reached out to the Anti Basileus of the chapter I was invited back to rush to let her know I'd contacted the other chapter. I thought this would be the ethical, honest thing to do, but she seems upset. I hope I didn't do anything wrong. I'm just eager to be in the sorority and I'm actually going to aim for the Spring since the other chapter is having a Spring intake, but the chapter I was originally interested in isn't sure if they're having a spring intake. Did I do something wrong??? Please help. Responses from all D9 sororities are appreciated.
