Local Greek Orgs in Ontario!
Hey,
Im the president of a Zeta Xi Nu which is a local fraternity at Universty of Guelph-Humber and Humber College. We have been active for over 2 years and have had some limited contact with other greek orgs. During our contacts we always make an effort to be friendly so that we can maintain relationships with other groups.
We are located near Toronto and many of the GLO's we have had contact with come from UofT. They are all quite interesting groups with great members. (Except for one fraternity which we had problems with). We also recently tried to make contact with greeks at York University.
All the orgs we have contacted or heard about though have been Internationals. We have heard about a few local sororities in Ottawa but haven't really done much to approach them yet. (We're not shy guys though! haha) We're still looking for local fraternities to see what sort of experiences they have and if we can get or give help to any organizations.
We're really just looking for the next steps for our organization. While we have had contact with a few large orgs we are more interested in meeting smaller orgs that we can share our experiences with and learn from.
Thanks to all who reply!

I'm apart of one of those local (and newest) Ottawa sororities, Alpha Pi Phi.
there's also Xi Delta Theta, Sigma Psi Alpha, Tau Sigma Phi, and Nu Sigma Pi.. I think that's it?
as for fraternities, Omega Theta Alpha and Delta Pi are the ones around here, both at Ottawa U.
local organizations seem to thrive here

Hey I'm from Sigma Lambda Gamma, a local sorority at the University of Waterloo. @CdnPhratBoy - distance wise, we're actually quite close to you. The SLGs are quite new as well; we were founded in 2004. There aren't that many Greek groups in Waterloo, and I'm interested in getting in contact with other local fraternities and sororities.

We've really made some strides in the last few years and are looking at certain expansion and greek integration actvities! We're looking at meeting with other orgs. If you are looking to do a group travel or would be welcome to meeting with us the best way to contact our Admins and set up a mixxxer would be to email us at zeta.xi.nu@live.ca
