I have 2 from the last couple of months.
I was walking home from the UW Madison Memorial union, and I saw a young woman wearing a sweatshirt that said AGD alpha on the front. I am nerdy enough that I stopped her and said, "Alpha Gam? We don't see that as often around here!" And she asked if I was a sister. I said no, of course, that I was a Gamma Phi Beta, but then said something like "yay, Syracuse Triad!" It made me happy. I probably walked away snapping.
I was vacationing in Door County (the little part of WI that sticks out into Lake Michigan), was at an outdoor theatre and saw a young woman in a GPB Big Sis/Little Sis sweatshirt. I stopped her and said I was a GPB too, what my chapter of initiation was and with what chapter I currently volunteer. I happened to be wearing my little GPB Helen M Dodge Society charm, too. She said she was from the University of Oregon, and I think she was pleased I knew right away that means Nu chapter!

School is starting back up...
Kappa Alpha Psi on the subway with me yesterday.
Sigma Gamma Rho frame on a car 2 blocks from my home (where are you Soror from Cornell?!)
An LUL from Buffalo State who just transferred back to our college
An Omega Psi Phi frame on an SUV in front of my building. I see it often enough and never the Greek who drives it.

Now that I'm back at Clemson I've seen letters all over the place but on the way down to campus my mom and I detoured through Lexington, VA to tour the VMI and Washington & Lee campuses (campii? octopii? hippopotamii?). The sorority houses at W&L were absolutely stunning! My life goal is to live somewhere with columns and porches that pretty, even though I doubt it'll ever happen.
Also saw an AOII car sticker at a Wendy's in Georgia, and it amused me to no end that three big, beefy men got out of the car

A few days ago at the gym, I saw two Theta Phi Alphas (from UM-Flint, as indicated on their shirts) and an Alpha Phi. I've been going to this gym all summer and this was the first time I've seen other Greeks.

I saw for the second time a license late frame that said Alpha Phi Alpha across the top, and Life Member across the bottom. (It is entirely possible it was the same car both times; I just don't remember anything but the plate frame).
This surprised me, because I can't imagine a member who isn't a life member.
Has anyone else seen this?

I took my sister to go get her grad school text books this past week and saw lots of greeks walking around campus! She's going to my alum mater and rolled her eyes when I asked if we could drive past the Sigma Kappa house.
(Also, it was crazy to see how much the campus has changed in the past decade!)

I think in some groups "life member" may have a specific meaning, more like "sustaining member," where lifetime dues are paid up front.

Ah, that would make sense. (And I guess I should have looked it up first.) That's exactly what their web page says. Thank you.
