Can I ask where you found those numbers? I'm not saying you're wrong, but as you said, some do seem unlikely and I haven't been able to find any other numbers myself: I would be surprised by some of those numbers unless some of those stronger recruiting chapters wanted lower numbers for some reason.
It's one thing for Illinois schools (someone mentioned SIUE) to have lower numbers of total PNMs going through--I think a lot of parents are sending their kids out of state because the state of Illinois is a mess and no one is sure what is going to happen and a lot of Illinois kids are getting scholarships to out of state schools who know this is a concern. But quota is a different story, right?

Plus/minus 50 isn't a surprise but for strong chapters (I don't know the recruitment strength of each of these chapters but I think they're all pretty strong) to be THAT varied in the numbers seems off. Unless UofI decided to do a variable quota and I don't know of any reason why they would. I'll see if I can do some stalking of Alpha Xi and get at least one confirmed. But it seems we are going the way of Chi O and REALLY not talking numbers.

Irish Pipes posted that quota was 51. A lot of girls from the high school I went to go to UIUC and I have many friends who are alumnae so I"m pretty familiar with what chapters are usually "popular" with PNMs. Theta and DDD are two of those chapters, so that's what stood out to me. Not a big deal--again, just curious. I think all the houses there are great and hope they all did well. I didn't write any recs for girls from my town this year so I don't have any connections.

Right, it's HIGHLY unlikely that DDD and Theta didn't match quota. I got a few numbers from our chapter advisor there - the others from a chapter member - so far from official, and they just don't look right to me.

It is also possible that someone got a little heavy-handed with the RFM numbers. I don't know nothin bout nothin but let's just say someone decided Theta and DDD should only get to invite 60 girls to preference. It wouldn't take much for them to miss quota.
It will be interesting to learn if these numbers are right and if so what happened. These chapters are all going to be just fine, but EVERY chapter should be able to make quota every year. And IMO if it's more than one chapter missing, it's the system, not the chapter at fault.

University of Illinois at CU Numbers
On the UI Tri Delta website there is a Bid Day photo posted. The new members are in fairly straight lines. I counted 54 new sisters. Unfortunately, the image was not dated. If I can find an official number it will be posted here.
The Kappa Alpha Theta Bid Day photo appeared to have at least 50 new members The left side was not completely shown, so there may have been a couple not visible.
This is confusing.
