This should be a deciding factor-when you feel comfortable and confident others see you that way too.

It's really the members who tend to wear black.
A PNM in color should be perfectly fine. Dressy, no beads and nothing too low cut or hemmed too high, low heels. No requirements that the dress be black.

While an LBD is technically black, it also evokes a style - simple little dress that can be dressed up or down. Nothing fru-fru. Any color could be acceptable.

Thanks for that tip Bamamom, it looks like they've updated the pictures of what to wear during rush! I know that soon they will be sending out the "Greek Chic" recruitment guide as well which will be very helpful!

This is so many girls! I just want to make sure I have the right information here: quota is based off of the number of girls who go to pref night correct? So the total number of PNM's that go through rush doesn't necessarily matter in your chance of getting a bid?

You are correct. If more women rush, more women are placed in chapters. The number of schools where this is NOT true can be counted on one hand, and bama is not one of them.

No, this is not correct. Quota is set AFTER all bids cards are signed and turned in. So more may attend pref than actually sign bid cards. Once the cards are entered into the computer, the program determines quota by what number will place the most women. So if there are 5 groups and 100 sign cards, quota isn't automatically 20. It may be 18 or 19 and some groups may end up with more quota additions than others.

So exciting! I may have missed reading it earlier in this thread but will DG fully participate in FR?
Is it weird I can't wait to see the pledge list break down for OOS new members???

Oh YAY! And yes please post pictures, I'd love to see y'alls house!
As Southern as it is for a West Coast school, I wish USC's greek life was closer to Alabama's/SEC. While we have some very unique, great and longstanding traditions of our own, I especially love the idea of dressing up nicely for game day. Although last year some chapters here did it for homecoming and even copied the wearing of those badges the sisters wear to game day. So who knows what it will be like next fall.
