How would preference night be and how do you think they'll select the bids? Would getting to preference night assure you a bid in the case of a colonizing sorority?

What I've seen is PNMs sign up for an interview. Then you would get invited to interview a couple more times, then an invitation to a pref party, often put on by another chapter along the lines of a "normal" pref party. Then bids are issued...could be by phone, hand-delivered note, or e-mail.
No, getting to pref party does not assure you a bid. The colonizers are going to go over their lists several more times to make sure they have a compatible group that will fill the group's many needs.
Just relax. There's no need to freak. This is out of your hands, anyway. And yes, I've seen girls interview for the initial group, be released, and then come back a year later and pledge.
