Washing Instructions for Custom Greek Clothing

I got a tshirt with embroidered letters from Customgreekthreads.com. Their website says not to wash the shirt but to have it dry cleaned. It seems like such a hassle just to get one shirt cleaned every week or so.

Has anyone tried washing them? How did it turn out? I'm thinking of washing it on cold setting and either letting it air dry or run for about half an hour in the dryer on low setting.

Have you heard of Woolite and the gentle cycle? And hanging it to dry?

or wash it by hand in the sink with some detergent, rinse, squeeze out as much moisture as you can, lay it flat on a clean towel and roll it up(like a jelly roll) and press on the roll to remove more moisture, lay it flat(or hang it on a hanger) and let it dry.
