Lightbulb A Great New Idea for House Improvementss

Okay so how many people go into a fraternity and are disgusted by their house. I'de like to assume that almost everyone is (depends on the fraternity I guess). We'll our chapter has a house improvment section in which people can get reimbursed for improvements done to the house. Granted they will not be payed for their labor but materials are reimbursed. Right now there are 7 different rooms being gutted and redone with new drywall and wiring and flooring. thats roughly a quarter of the house. This whole process leads to better looking rooms as well as more respect for the house. Also, you can stay in the same room for the whole four years if you want to. Our house is easily one of the nicest on campus inside (fraternities at least). I was wondering if anyone else does this kind of a thing in their chapter. Here are some pics of the house for you to decide.

Wow, I love your house!!! Very nice looking!! How does the climbing wall work? I know what they are, but is yours tall enough to really "climb" or what?
Kudos to you and your brothers who work so hard on your house! A little "sweat equity" really boosts the pride over a house. Good Job!!

I know it's probably different for sororities, but we have a national housing corporation that funds improvements and the work is done by local contractors.

For chapters that don't belong to the national corp, there is usually a local corp that funds improvements and expansions to the house.

New Improvements

Our page is going to be updated after workweek which will end after today. We actually repainted and did different lighting in the basement and many other things. I agree though about the pride idea. After doing a major thing like redoing a room, a respect for the room is gained.

The climbing wall isn't much of a climbing wall so much as a bouldering wall. Anybody who has went to a climbing gym knows this.

Dang Dude, Color Me GREEN with ENVY!!!

You guys did a heck of a job on a beautiful House!!!!!

Thanks for keeping it alive and well!

We are in the process of trying to build a new house as ours was built in 1895 and is very tired from 30 + years of young men going through it!!!!!!!

Congratulations for a job well done!
