Dr. C... I envy you and your plethora of microbreweries in Colorado. Come to Oklahoma sometime where you have a choice between Bud and Bud Light.

When I was in school, fraternities typically had Natty Light in the keg... Rolling Rock if you were lucky.
The smart girls quickly learned that the boys kept the good stuff in their rooms though (or maybe the smart boys kept the good stuff in their rooms)!

Finally! A subject I can put my heart into! At the Lambda Chi house in Shippensburg in the early 90's, we drank a lot. We usually went for "cheap," based on the idea that the cheaper it is, the more you can buy. Favorites included:
1. Busch light (Bottles)
2. Milwaukee's Best (Regular or Light)
3. Keystone
4. National Bohemian aka "Natty-Boh" (Regular and Light)
5. Olympia aka "Oly" (the devil's mouthwash)
6. Yuengling Lager (surprisingly not that expensive at that time in that area.)
For kegs, usually Coors Light (which, at that time, ran around $45 for a 16 gal. if you had an empty to return, and we always did) or Natural Light. Or occasionally Killians, if we felt really wealthy.
Also, does anybody remember a beer called Glacier Bay? It came in a blue box. The bottles were brown with a blue lable, and the bottom of the bottle was shaped in such a way that it would grip the cap of another bottle, making it a handy bottle opener. Later, they changed the name to "Arctic Bay," without the bottle openers. Then, it disappeared. Is it still available anywhere?

keystone light is the staple beer on our campus for fraternity parties and such because it is the cheapest! They always use it for taps (flippy cup) and beer pong

yea, at restaurants with bars, like Friday'ss and BJ's, the beers of choice are usually like Black and Tans, Heffe Weizen, or whatever by the pitcher.
At parties, usually like Bud and Miller, and being that we are ever so close to the border (Cali/Mexico), it seems many choose Corona.
That was my personal beer of choice, but after a recent trip to Tijuana, it became XX (Dos Equis).

Bud light, Budweiser, and the occasional Miller lite...
if its a "special occasion" its Killians Red for me!
and you can't forget about the $1 Rolling Rocks!

You know here at Morehead fraternities dont supply beer at all at their parties. Of course you can always find some guy to give you one of his and if you do this all night then you will have a good buzz going on. Also if we have "get togethers" at our unofficial sorority house(we dont have official ones) then we do a "beer tax", where every guy who comes in has to give up one beer haha!!!
But Budlight is the choice of beer when you have extra money.
Natty Light is what you get if youre poor.
And Heaven Hill for vodka!

dumb rules
and, on the BG campus you rarely see another beer can other than the ones that read Natural Light.

All the fraternities at my campus keep a pretty steady supply of Naddy Light in their houses. It's cheap and serves it's purpose. All the smart guys keep the good stuff in their room. I think if I ever went to a fraternity party that had Bud Light as the "house beer" I would die of happiness.

Right on!!!
My Kappa Sig boyfriend loves Dos Equis. Coors Light/Bud Light if we're on a budget. I like Woodchuck myself (I know it's kind of a pansy drink.....let it go)
If I have a little extra spending money, I go with Jack & Coke, all the way!!
But of course, it's always more fun when you're playing flip cup, circle of fire/ring of death, or HI-LO!!!
