If you go to Google and type in: "----- image", you'll find some great ideas.

For example:
  • "80s Fashion image"
  • "80s accessories image"
  • "80s makeup image"
  • "90s fashion image"
  • "90s accessories image"
Also check Google Images for specific things that used to be cool:
  • "Safety pin beads"
  • "friendship bracelets"
  • "Scrunchies"
  • "fringed clothing"
  • "grunge"
  • "flash dance clothing"
  • Juicy "track suits"
  • "jazzersize clothing"

Other ideas:
  • photo on a shirt - (they make these at the mall...sometimes they are airbrushed)
  • jean jacket with buttons/pins (try a comic book store)
  • wearing jeans with a jean jacket
  • jean jacket with a colorful bandana
  • large, colored, plastic eyeglass frames
  • big hair with poofy bangs
  • oversized champion sweatshirt with matching slouchy socks, leggings, and scrunchie
  • jelly bracelets
  • high top sneakers with slouchy socks, worn over the bottom of your jeans
  • neon tops/outfits
  • tye dye anything
  • shoulder padded colorblock blazers & stirrup pants with high-heeled lace-up boots
  • jean shorts cut way up so that the pockets hang underneath the bottom of the leg openings
  • jeans with large patches on them (sometimes suede patches) and a "bodysuit" or leotard as a shirt
  • flannel shirts (tucked or untucked, with jeans or jean shorts)
  • leggings and long printed t-shirts with hightops or pumps
  • parachute pants and an oversized, colorful, tucked in, button down shirt
  • high waist jeans and a tucked in shirt
Hope those ideas help. "Google Images" is a great place for ANY costume ideas.

Flannel shirts tied around your waist.
"Cold shoulder" shirts or shirts with sheer sleeves.
Babydoll flowered dresses w/ Doc Maartens boots.

Ree, the Deadheads might get after you for that tie dye comment.

Heehee. There was a time when it seemed "everyone" was into tie-dye. It's just not "everywhere" like it was during other time periods. I remember girls tie-dying their Champion sweatshirts, matching scrunchie sox, matching hair scrunchie, all in similar colors. Or tie-dying leggings, which in my opinion, did nothing for anyone. Large circles of color on your thighs are unflattering on everyone.

Thanks for the warning, though!!
