When did you see them? The concert I went to was at The Fox in Atlanta in '86. Michael Stipe started twirling, and spun off into the wings and didn't return. The rest of the band looked startled, said "This is a song for the surfers" and played an instrumental. At that time, they rarely played Radio Free Europe in concert because they didn't like that it was the only song the audience knew. I left without hearing it -- disappointed!

My husband's cousin is a professional drummer. He was the drummer in Cher's band during the Believe tour... he hooked us up with backstage passes and pretty good seats.

But that is it...
