As an ASU grad, I'm glad that the Arizona Republic did this article. It is about time that universities STOP brushing rape off to make their statistics look good to everyone. It is high time for the accused to be punished, whether it be a trial or expulsion from school. Plus, the schools need to actually take the allegation seriously and send it off to the police and NOT make the student feel like she is a victim all over again.

It isn't just ASU either that is dealing with this problem, it is probably most major universities and it needs to be rectified.

I agree. Wasn't it Columbia University where the rapists got to continue with school and graduate, even when the school found them to be guilty? It may have been somewhere else. Let's stop making it okay and acceptable for this kind of behavior! Sexual assault is NOT okay.
