Bridges though I am given to understand that actually an anxiety issue. Have tried twice with psychologists to get passed it to no real effect.

You know the one over the Mississippi on Highway 10 ? Where you can't pull over?

When I lived in Michigan, the worst experience I had on a bridge was the first time crossing the Mackinac Bridge to Mackinac Island. Crossing it at night it was pitch black on both sides of the bridge. So I didn’t know we were on a bridge until I saw the first main suspension part, which was dimly lit and creepy looking. I was petrified going across it because there was nowhere to stop or pull over and it was really long. Yikes!

I donít have a problem with bridges as long as theyíre not too high up. How high is that Michigan bridge? I heard nice things about Mackinac Island. Iíd like to take my girl there but if that bridge is high as hell, that might pose a problem Lol.

The Mackinac Bridge is only 200 feet above the water.

Well, it's a bridge. It's five miles long. It's not going to be 10 feet above the water. But, if you still want to visit Mackinac Island, you can take a ferry from the shore without crossing the bridge.

I have no choice but to drive it as my sister lives in Nola. Thank God she lives in Uptown and not the West Bank! And it's flat except for the part for boat to go under. It's 30 feet higher than the original one that Katrina blew away!

I meant the one in west Louisiana but here's a great view of the one to NOLA in the last scene of the Haunted Mansion movie.

The Mackinac bridge connects the upper and lower peninsulas of Michigan. Ferry or plane is the only way to get to Mackinac Island and there are no cars allowed on the Island. That bridge is very high and 5 miles long and I had to drive it once myself when it was raining. I always stay on the inside lane if I have to drive it. They do have a service you can pay to drive your ca r for you if you can't bring yourself to drive it. It closes if winds are too high.

Storms. I cannot handle thunderstorms for some reason. It could be that I was in Costa Rica as a kid during a severe storm (like several lightning strikes sort of thing) or the overall loud noise. I've gotten better with it over time but I still get nervous with big storms to this day
