My wife.
Around 4 months after I got married, we came home to visit our families for the holidays. While home, I took my wife out to see a play at the Guthrie theater out here. While my wife was in the bathroom, I ran into my ex there. Wife came out of the bathroom and saw us talking. So, I introduced them. When I said “This is my wife, ….” my ex’s initial expression when she was talking to me went from a “Maybe we can get back together” happy to see me look, to an evil look I can’t describe.
The only thing my wife said to me about it that night was “Wow. If looks could kill, I’d be dead. I wish I had known she was going to be there, I’d have stopped by the store and gotten her a thank you card.”

I was heading to Detroit to study auto design and she didn’t want to do the long distance. I wasn’t giving up my childhood dream and she didn’t want to move to Detroit. By the time she tried to get me back, I had already met my wife.
Well, those exes still hanging out in the background is part of the problem. Sounds like she doesn’t trust you. I wouldn’t trust you either. 😂
