Unfortunately I will be in California that day, at Disneyland.

I'll make sure to wear my letters though (cause let's face it I'd probably lose the damn thing (my pin) at Disneyland. )

I'm jealous!

I'll be getting ready for class that night , but I will definitely plan on wearing my badge that evening (it'll almost be like going to chapter meeting! )

WOW, How wide spread is this NPC badge thing. This is the first time I have heard of this. I don't dress up for work but I would love to see all of (my customers)the people at work wearing their badges.

I run a restaurant that caters to many engineers from Universities all over the place but I never get into the "glo" conversation. I am going to keep an eye out for the greeks that I see every day.

But, to re-ask my question . . . Is this a "big deal" that I have just never heard of or is this a new thing?

Well, I'm not sure how greatly publicized this is. Since it is through NPC, it should be nationwide, but I don't know how many people actually hear about it. When I was in college (east coast) everyone was involved. I'm out in Denver now and our Alum Association is pretty active with the Denver NPC. I think I just saw it on their website or something.

Spread the word!

I wore my badge to work last year and people actually asked me about it. Mainly because I worked at a school bookstore and usually wore jeans, but since I was wearing my badge I had a dress on.

Even if I was in town this year, I don't think I would wear my badge to work. Mainly because I work in a school and I'm constantly "running around". I would be absolutely TERRIFIED that I would lose it. Even though I have three badges now (two are my own and 1 I saved from ebay) I would still be terrified.

I will wear my letters with PRIDE!!!!!!!

We did it back when I was in school - so NPC Badge day (even though I refuse to call our pin a badge) has been around a long time!!

That's pretty much what happened at our school, as well - it was nice my first year, since I had been initiated right prior to NPC Badge Day, so I got to wear my <>'s pin all day long.

I'm excited for this year - even though I'm normally in jeans and such, I'll be going out to lunch with family for my great-aunt's birthday, and then I have class that night, so it'll be interesting to see who (if anyone) comments on it....last year I got quite a few looks (but maybe that's because of how many dangles I had with my badge and my guard! )
