I wouldn't hold my breath. The new member classes have been under 20 for the past several years. I was looking at a pledge class list from 1986 that had 36 pledges -- that might have been the all-time high for Mercer. There have been 4 NPC groups at Mercer since AGD came on in when, the 1960s? Pi Beta Phi was selected to colonize in the 1980s, but there were some problems with the University's financial records and the administration chose not to honor the offers thay had made to PiPhi re: housing.
We'll see. It is a great school and very pro Greek.

Chi Phi Returns to Hampden-Sydney College after an absence of four years.
The article also states that both Beta Theta Pi and Lambda Chi Alpha had their charters suspended by their National Offices.

Alpha Phi has chartered its colony at Whitman College(WA). In the months of April and May, they will charter their colonies at Clemson University(SC), Northern Arizona University, and Creighton University(NE).

FarmHouse chartered the 45th Chapter in its history on Sunday, March 11, 2012, at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Tex.
http://www.farmhouse.org/
FarmHouse has only one inactive chapter (Tenn Tech) and one restart that is an interest group. Awesome ratio!

That does sound like a great ratio, but I count 12 inactive chapters on their website. They color-coded the active, inactive and colony/interest groups.

WOOT!!!!!
I'm so glad that there will be another "West Coast" chapter of Sigma...you have no idea, I may even drive the 4 hours there.... for those who aren't in the know, I hate driving and I rarely drive a distance that is more than 2 away from me

Alpha Sigma Tau has been invited to colonize at Gustavus Adolphus College! It's our first chapter in Minnesota. We will be joining Sigma Sigma Sigma as the only other NPC group on campus. The rest are locals. Not sure if we're absorbing a local or starting a new colony from the ground up. Either way, exciting news

Hooray for this! I have a chapter sister that's from Los Vegas, now hopefully she can be involved there after graduation.
