What to wear!
i dont really know much about greek life, but i am going to rush this fall. I dont want to mention my school name yet but it is in Los Angeles. Ive been trying to put outfits together for rush. I was wondering if anyone can give me some advice on what to wear as well as what not to wear.
Also, are sleeveless high low blouses okay to wear for the first round?

Well, that doesn't narrow it down - ha! Anyway, since we don't know the campus and you haven't said what the recruitment book shows, we aren't going to be able to help at this point.

Read my lips - it depends on the school. What's acceptable at USC is not at Alabama. What's acceptable at Oregon is not aceptable at Texas. Etc, etc, etc.....

Here is UCLA's PH recruitment web site that tells you exactly what to wear each round. Can't believe a 66 year old Baby Boomer had to find it for you.

We are not your stylist. If you have some pictures of outfits you've put together, we'll critique them. But we aren't going to tell you what blouse, skirt, necklace, etc to wear. The information on the website is sufficient. And I would imagine there is a hard copy booklet from the Greek office that even shows sorority women in appropriate clothing.

Thats why I also asked in the original post if for the first round a high low blouse appropriate to wear. I simply wanted advise from others who have gone through recruitment. I didn't want someone simply being irritated and answering me for me asking for help since I have no clue about it.

Dotty, if you will search the web and find some outfits that you might like to wear and provide a link, we will take a look and let you know if we think you are on the right track or not.
If you don't want to do that, you might just want to cruise around the recruitment forum-there are plenty of threads about outfits that might give you some ideas.

1) "Inverted Fountain" would be a great name for an all-girl emo band.
2) I googled "high low blouse" and this came up.
If you mean a blouse cut so that your belly button might show, I would say nay (even if it is LA). That just sounds like something with the potential for disaster (i.e. wind or a/c vent blowing up your shirt).

That's cute. And being sleeveless will be cooler.
