I took my 10 year old and my 8 year old today. The ten year old really, really liked it. The 8 year old said it was good. I thought it was a little frantic, but otherwise very sweet. It was VERY positive towards Greek life. I was a little bit disappointed with the animation. It was all very good, but it wasn't uniform throughout the movie. Some segments were more cartoony and some were more photo-realistic.

PNK is my new rush crush, though. Their special abilities are something I would like to be able to do. Although the Panhel President is a HSS and was very cool/smart.

I loved the movie. When they were describing the scare games, all I could think about was Greek Week. The way we do Greek Week we team up with a sorority, so I just imagined it split up more.

I gotta say, I felt Ozma Kappa's vibe too harsh. There are always failing fraternities at campuses and seeing them kinda made me think of that. Had it not been for Sully and Mike, they woulda probably died out.

In the movie, is Oozma Kappa like the Tri Lambs in Revenge of the Nerds?

Kind of, but they're not uber-nerds. They're 18 year old guys who've got stuff to figure out. They are trying to prove that they are the best scarers on campus. They clearly have some talent, but they have personal problems that are getting in the way.

The movie does make it look fun to be in a sorority or fraternity at any size and any tier.

I LOVED Monsters Inc. and had really, really high expectations for Monsters University (maybe too high). I liked it, but I didn't loooove it.

Of course I enjoyed that Greek life was emphasized. I was sorry the initiation into OK had to include paddling, but I understand that is the stereotype.

My DH just took the fraternity quiz. He accepted a bid to Roar Omega Roar.

The best part is that we have a standard gag about a little lion named Rory.

I'll trade you! I didn't want HSS. I know I should give them a chance but I had my heart set on EEK.

Just accepted a bid to HSS. Can't wait to see what "pledging" involves!
