I just heard that last Saturday night at homecoming for the University of North Texas, a KD was named Homecoming Queen. This chapter was just re-colonized last Spring.

I don't know the full court, but a Delta Zeta was Homecoming Queen at Pitt (thought of you, KillarneyRose!), and an ADPi was on the Court. They have platforms now??

Viva Lex Vegas - Saturday, October 31st

Five Finalists for University of Kentucky 2009 Homecoming Queen
Alpha Omicron Pi
Chi Omega
Kappa Alpha Theta
Pi Beta Phi
Independent

Five Finalists for University of Kentucky 2009 Homecoming King
Alpha Phi Alpha
Delta Tau Delta
Kappa Sigma
Phi Delta Theta
Phi Sigma Kappa

The past four Homecoming Kings have been a Sigma Chi. Since no Sig is in this year's count, the streak is over.

Go Cats!

My alma mater has a DST Queen & AKA Maid of Honor.

I think this was the 1st time women of color received both spots.

The entire court consisted of greek women. I believe there were 4 Alpha Sigma Taus and another Delta.

I know there's a SigEp on court here, think there's an AKA here too. Don't know about anyone else.

What is interesting is that the Homecoming Queen was sponsored by Chi Omega, but no mention in her official bio that she is a member. The same for the Homecoming King. He was sponsored by Phi Sigma Kappa but it was not mentioned in his bio if he is a member. The Kentucky Kernel - the student newspaper - confirmed their affiliation. link

I wonder if leaving out their affiliation translated to more votes from independents?

At Louisville, their bio can only include 3 organizations. So if someone is sponsored by their GLO, by not listing that as one of your three, you can really get 4 RSO's listed (because the sponsoring organization is listed).

at florida state university, the homecoming chief is a member of pi kappa alpha(he also is their president) and i believe that the homecoming princess is a member of alpha delta pi(she is listed as a member of the panhellenic executive council).

I don't know if it was a rule this year or not, but none of the candidates' official bios listed their sponsor. It seems to me that who sponsored each candidate has always been listed in the past. Which makes it odder that neither the queen or king had their affiliation listed.
