Congrats to your daughter! The pics showed a lot of very happy new Mizzou ADPi's today The Alpha Gamma chapter will celebrate 100 years in 2015. Tau chapter (Kansas) had their 100th in 2012, and it was an amazing thing for the collegians to experience!

Congratulations to all the new members at Mizzou!
Just curious -- who didn't get quota, and when does COB begin?
Back in the day the pledges/new members were "presented" the evening of Bid Day --I think it was called Yell Day, but I may be misremembering....Each girl ran up to the mike and hollered her name and house. All the frat guys were gathered around to cheer. That's do-able when there are about 350 new members, total. Not so nowadays! [There is a Savitar picture of me holding the mike for an excited new member, but apparently the caption has no names because I couldn't find it in a quick search of the digital archive.]

Love the Gatsby theme! I believe the sorority who did not make quota received 78 new members, so they were close!

I was not a member of a sorority. My mother was but she passed away when I was in my early 20's. I gave my daughter terrible advice and did not find this site until after she had dropped out of Mizzou rush. I even told her she would be fine without recs (I know clueless). The Greek system was not for me but it is definitely for my daughter. She dropped out after several girls in her dorm dropped out and with little help from home. She instantly regretted it. She let the pressure get to her and I did not realize how much she would regret it. I have been reading threads on what her options might be. Does anyone think COB will be an option for her? When would it begin?

soclueless -- have your daughter contact the Greek Life office about COB.
They can give her the best information of the process.
She should contact them as soon as possible.

Should she include that she dropped out or is it best to just request information?
