LOL You can't understand why other people would think calling yourselves "babez for Jesus" would be comical or offensive? Good luck with that.

Definition of "babe," courtesy of Merriam-Webster:

: infant, baby
slang : a person and especially a young woman who is sexually attractive

So "thetababez" would seem to indicate that you're a multicultural Christian sorority of sexually attractive young women?

FYP

PinkWine, be wary of referring to yourselves as "Theta's," or even ThetaBabez. There is another group that lays claim and copyright to the Theta nickname.

Thumbs down

Have you all ever heard of being a Babe in Christ? It's actually stated in the Word as such! Was Jesus talking about a sexually attractive female or was He speaking of those who are "New" to the faith?? In my experience, it's best to ask what something means, instead of making an ASSumption. Read the word a bit, or study up on the organization before u mock or try to belittle what God is trying to do. Smh...

You opened a greek chat account just to post this response? When I tried to read up on the organization, all I got out of it was a bunch of grammar and spelling issues as well as informal language (on the facebook page with the broken link in the original post).

"2) He made us Male & Female and it's the standing of TSL that this fundamental rule of nature should not be altered by unnatural affections or biologically"

From the website of the organization in question.... any respect I may have been able to muster for this group - poof!

i DID ask.

anyway, if you are a part of this org, perhaps your time would be better spent fixing your public image (incorrect fb link, errors sigmagirl200 pointed out) than getting all up in arms over a moniker that you all CHOSE to give yourselves.

Pretty sure Jesus wouldn't have spelled it with a z. That ups the tacky quotient about 5000%.

Not this Jesus! He's hip!

(Sorry, I couldn't resist! It's cool though, I'm Catholic. One confession and I'm back in good standing!)
