I heard this last spring. As much as I would love my chapter back, I don't think the numbers support expansion yet. Quota looks to be just slightly lower than last year. If quota was closer to 50, I think the campus could easily support another chapter.

Two weekends ago, Kappa Sigma chartered its Tau-Omega and Upsilon-Alpha Chapters at Montclair State University and Reinhardt University, Respectively, and this past weekend chartered its Upsilon-Beta Chapter at California State University, San Bernardino.

Sewanee only has one other NPC chapter on campus, KD in addition to 8 other locals right? Does anyone know what (if any) campus total is? 8 members for a colonization seems low.

Yes, they have 8 locals and KD. I agree that 8 seems low, but that was my best guess based off the photos the FB page posted-there were only 8 individual women in them. The photo was captioned "this semester's amazing founding members" so hopefully they will continue to pick up more as the semester goes on. Sewanee's formal recruitment period is in January as well.

Sunday was also bid day for the Kappa Delta colony at West Chester. I don't know a number, but maybe one of GC's head-counting experts (which I'll never be) can give it a try: https://www.instagram.com/p/BK1ulOIBIZs/

Both the Alpha Epsilon Pi and the Kappa Alpha Order chapters at the College of Charleston(SC) have been closed. Closure is due to RMF violations.

Sewanee has a Spring recruitment. I am assuming that this is their upperclass recruitment that they have in the Fall. I believe when KD first opened their doors, they had maybe 10 or 12 to start with. It is a different kind of campus. Some groups are large and some are very small. They don't have a quota/total system from what I can tell. Maybe with a 2nd NPC group on campus a College Panhellenic will be formed and things will change.

I was remembering the same numbers Just Interested. Agree that hopefully things will pick up for the NPCs.
