Carol Burnett? Mary Tyler Moore?

I was hanging out on Wikipedia (my new favorite pastime) when I saw that Carol Burnett and Mary Tyler Moore listed under "Famous Alpha Phis" in the Alpha Phi entry. Is this true?

Also - we know that Jodie Sweetin never initiated, so can we actually call her a "Famous Alpha Phi"?

The Carol Burnett Show began in 1960 (Carol Burnett was 27 years old...)...It must be another Carol Burnett...same with Mary Tyler Moore - she was doing her tv show "The Dick VanDyke Show" then and was 24 years old.

Would be nice though!!!!!

Both women would be AMAZING and WONDERFUL Alpha Phis!!!

Is it possible they were initiated while at university? I just want to make sure before I edit the Wikipedia entry.

No because the initiation dates don't match with what the *stars* were doing at the time...they were too old to be in uni...I do wish it was them though!!!!! Hmmm...You have me thinking, maybe, but SURELY they would be listed on our website if they were...They are pretty famous...

Nope, it's Burnett. I was alive when her show was on in the 1970s - it was one of my favorite shows as a little kid!

I'm lost - what initiation dates are you talking about?

Here's the Wikipedia entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alpha_Phi - it doesn't mention initiation dates.

But yes, I agree with you - if they were Alpha Phis, it would be mentioned on the International Website.
