Here we go, finally, with some numbers for the KD reorganization at Iowa State (you mentioned the reorg in your list for Iowa State). Sounds like they may still be doing some additional recruitment in 2013.

"Low recruitment quotas led to big changes and a new face for ISU's Kappa Delta chapter.

Starting off recruitment with only 12 members and ending with 81 new members, Kappa Delta successfully restructured their house in fall 2012. More than 140 women went through informal recruitment.

. . . Kappa Delta opted out of participating in formal recruitment with the rest of the greek community to hold selective informal recruitment.

. . . Kappa Delta now follows a colonizing method to rebuild the entire sorority. When a house goes through colonization, new members are not chosen by the chapter’s current members. Sorority members currently enrolled at the time of colonization have been placed on alumni [sic] status and removed from the house . . .

The National Leadership Team, which comprises of women who do not have any connection to the school or house, chose the new members.

. . . Kappa Delta . . . will continue to recruit new members throughout 2013. “

Johns Hopkins University had their Bid Night last night. Quota was 58 and Kappa took 58. I'm not sure about the others but I think everyone made quota or was close.

58 is an unprecedented number for the JHU campus. The only time quota has come close was a few years ago when there were only 3 chapters and quota was in the low 50's. Last year I believe quota was in the low 40's with the addition of Pi Phi, but now it's way back up again. I've heard Panhellenic is planning to expand again in 2013-2014 - probably by bringing back Theta. Theta closed in 2009 and there is an agreement that they have the first shot at recolonization should the campus open for extension. When Pi Phi came on in 2010 there were still members of the closed chapter on campus so I believe they declined, but now I think they're good to go.

It's a real credit to Pi Phi that the campus is ready for expansion again already - they chapter seems to be doing very well.

FLORIDA
- Rollins sisters welcomed 27 new members. All Rollins sororities welcomed quota new member classes.
GEORGIA
- University of North Georgia sisters welcomed 27 new members
NORTH CAROLINA
- Wake Forest University sisters welcomed 45 new members
OHIO
- Ohio State University sisters welcomed 45 new members
SOUTH CAROLINA
- Winthrop University welcomed 23 new members per an alumna sister
TEXAS
- St Mary's University sisters welcomed 9 new members. Quota was 9 & this is lower than in years past.
- Universtiy of Texas Arlington sisters welcomed 35 new members.
VIRGINIA
- University of Virginia sisters welcomed 43 new members (count from bid day picture).

My cousin joined the North Georgia DZ chapter last year and she just welcomed her sister and legacy during recruitment this January. They were super excited and so cute!
