That's gorgeous, and nice to see a curvy woman in that style. Looks beautiful on her.
ETA: Maybe it's the way she's standing that makes her look curvy?

It's the way she's standing. In the smaller version of the pic, she looks about average model size.

I love that dress and I love dresses with pockets.

One of my bridesmaid's dresses had pockets and I was rockin' the "sexy pocket pose" in some of the photos. LOL. The great thing is that all of my friends chose bridesmaid's dresses that are gorgeous and can be worn to ANY formal and semi-formal event. Thank God they don't waste my money. I will be rockin' that sexy pocket dress forever.

sometimes i think finding a bridesmaids dress that works for your whole party and you actually like/isn't tacky is going to be wayyyy harder than finding a dress.
you already have an idea what you want for your wedding gown usually.... bridesmaids dresses really might depend on the girls & would be especially hard with a lot of differently proportioned girls

I firmly believe it isn't as hard as some people want to make it.
I also firmly believe that some of the bridesmaids dresses I've seen had to have been chosen to make the bridesmaids look a hot mess so they wouldn't outshine the bride. The bride's vision only goes but so far. LOL. There's no way the bride couldn't see the ugly in these dresses or thought it was acceptable for the bridesmaids to spend money on a dress and shoes that can only be worn as a practical joke.
Thankfully, all of the weddings that I have attended and been a bridesmaid for in the past 10 years haven't had those issues.

My big found a pattern for the bridesmaid dresses, and has first been making a duct tape "shell" of everyone. Yes, that's right, I have been ducttaped from hips to mid-arms. And then for those of us with weird body types "mother earth boobs and little boy hips" as her mom put it, we're getting a preliminary fitting with a cotton mockup before she makes it out of the dress fabric.
It's a pretty fabric, blue-green with gold undertones, a good dress cut for pretty much any body type, and all will be well.
But all this only works because she and her mom and her aunt can sew.

i'm a big fan of picking a designer, a color, a fabric, and one other feature, and letting your maids choose their own dress.
Example: Jim Hjelm, navy blue, chiffon, NOT floor length.

I like the idea of having bridesmaids choose their own too.

I like the idea of picking several styles in the same color from a store/company and then letting the bridesmaids choose which of the approved styles they like best. That way they are more likely to look good and feel good...and they'll be able to choose a dress they MIGHT be able to wear again. (I also don't like a bunch of bridesmaids with the exact same dress because they start to look like robots or something).
