Add to hurricanes and earthquakes, Northern California is engulfed in wildfires mostly caused by lightning strikes. There's decades of fuel build up in rugged, remote areas that are increasing the intensity.

Spaghetti plots for Laura are showing the likelihood of landfall in Louisiana, but, there are two rogue strands that show the small potential for it to veer toward Florida: one skirts the west coast, and the other goes smack-dab up the middle of the state. Gulf coast folks-stay tuned to your local tv stations.

Really.
I live in New Orleans. This is not gonna be fun. Right now it looks like Marco is heading right for us, and Laura is going to loop around and miss us, but I wouldn't be surprised if Laura changes course - and it's supposed to be a cat 2 when it makes landfall.
And we're right at the 15th anniversary of Katrina...
My husband went grocery shopping yesterday. He tells me the store was a zoo.

Twice this week, people have assumed I would be available for appointments without telling me of the event, the date or time. Neither can I do due to medical appointments that were planned over one month ago and both people tried to get me to change my appointments.
I'm done feeling guilty.

"Atlantic Hurricane Season likely to Go Greek".
Not sure what comes after Hurricanes Alpha, Beta, then Gamma but there seem to be enough storms this year to find out!
