Thumbs up A great character

Geren WAS the man, wasn't he? He seems to be the man every woman would want.

I'm reading Ladies In Waiting by Linda Hudson-Smith. It's about four women (two married, two unmarried) that have significant others or husbands in prison. Each woman has a problem with the men in their lives and have to find themselves in order to rid the problems that they are faced with.

I read Soulmates Dissipate while I was in Africa, I liked it. I'll be reading Never Again Once More next.

I also finally read Assata Shakur's autobiography. LOVED IT!! I can't believe I'm just now reading that book, but I related to it on many different levels. I definitely recommend it.

Thumbs up

I just finished reading "You Get Past the Tears" by Patricia and Hydeia Broadbent. That was a goooooooooood book!!!!! I like the fact that it goes into detail, while protecting certain parties, about Hydeia's experiences with AIDS as well as how it affected her family after she was diagnosed. She's now 19 years old and is a shining beacon of hope for HIV+ children.

She's still alive? I had forgotten about her.

I'm reading E. Lynn's new book now. His life with Ben was terrible. I did not know that the E. stood for Everette (sp?).

Q
I purchased it last week. I've purchased the 10 books I taxed myself. I am reading Married Men, by Carl Webber; next, the one listed above and Casting the First Stone. I think this rounds out my 10 for the summer.

I will purchase E. Lynn's when I finish these 3.

This is a great book. It starts off slow, but it turns out being the BOMB! Enjoy it!
