The Beta Psi house of Sigma Pi is definitely haunted. I could go on for hours talking about the stories I have heard. Just recently one of the brothers that lives there woke up to the sound of a rocking chair with no source or explanation

I've had a lot of things happen to me supernaturally. I'm very intuitive and even as a child I was terrified of ghosts, probably because I picked up on them very easily. Almost every house I've lived in, even in college, I've had a experiences with spirits. I tried to block that 'sixth-sense' side out for so long, that I guess it just came to a full force last year and I just couldn't ignore it anymore. Over this past year, it came to such a head where I've had to reach out to some ghost-hunting people just to remove things that were going on in the house and with me spiritually. Since then, I've talked to two different people (who don't know each other) who are in-tuned to all of that spiritual, stuff, both of them told me that I'm very very strong spiritually, and ghosts are just drawn to me because of it. Kind of creepy, huh? :-/

It's October so it's time for this thread!

I remembered it today because my very serious boss came in and told us that she now believes in ghosts because a few years ago, she was a counselor at a very old camp and she walked past the sleeping campers only to see a very dressed up, smiling old lady sitting on her bed. The happy lady then vanished.

Well, you guys hit the jackpot.

My dad was an elder at church and had to assist with a sister of the congregation who was possessed. Not sure if you guys want to hear the details, so I'll leave it right there.

But I've had multiple experiences with ghosts and the supernatural. I was a real estate agent for two years and showed a house to a young couple where this rocking chair began rocking all by itself. I sensed something the minute we pulled to the house and felt an energy when we went inside; I even suggested to the couple that we come back with the selling agent. It turned out that an old man died of a heart attack in that house very recently.

I had to bring someone in to get rid of a ghost where I used to live. I'm not sure what she did, but she got rid of it.

I still live in the same neighborhood, which at one time was a very rough and violent part of the city. So not sure it that has anything to do with it, but I've had 2 ghosts in 2 separate houses in the same neighborhood.

Last year, my totally sane, non-drinking daughter was sitting in her living room and there was a chrome dog dish in the middle of the room. It suddenly flipped over. Nothing was around that could've done it!

So her sister was making fun of her about it and this year, the sister and her kids were in the bathroom, door shut, drying off the dog. They heard a crash and ran out in the living room. One of the lamps was in the middle of the living room, smashed. They were locked in the house; no one else was anywhere around.

Jezebel is looking for stories for its spooky stories contest. Some good ones in the comments there, but I think PiKA2001 should submit his elevator story.

There's a long thread on that from back in the day but I can't think of the name of it.

Last weekend, I took a "haunted ghost tour" here in New Orleans. No fraternity or sorority houses on the tour, but the Lalaurie house ... eep.
