One of the benefits of being a "seminary spouse" is access to my husband's university/seminary campus, especially the library. Since he also went here for undergrad, I know many people and they don't even check me for an ID anymore because they are so used to seeing me around. The computer labs are frequently empty, but not now. It is the end of the semester, and all the computers are in use because all the students have papers or final projects due. Everyone looks worried and intense, and this is usually a pretty laid-back campus.

I'm here helping one of our friends who went back to college at Northwestern night school (University College) after a 20+ year break. I had to teach him "how to pull up Google on the computer." It could be a long night, but the library closes at 12 ... unless these guys want to go to Dunkin Donuts or the all-night McDonald's around here.

The fascist and inconvenient recycling system in my town has resulted in my recycling getting out of control. They require items to be sorted into paper bags, which they wad up and since so many Wednesday mornings have been wet, windy, or both, I don't put anything out. There are also things they won't take at the curb, like laundry detergent bottles or other kinds of plastic, so I have to go to the recycling center anyway.

Of course since I'm sorting it tonight and planned to take it to the 24 hour drop off, it is supposed to start raining and be a few degrees above freezing. Srsly Mother Nature, make it a little bit easier on those of us trying to keep you classy and not trashy.

Ok, this may be a stupid question....

I listed my house for rent and I've already gotten probably 4x the response I was expecting. I set the rent at my mortgage payments + 45%. I wasn't really looking to make money - just break even on it and keep the property in case NYC doesn't work out for us.

So...ethically if we show it and have several people who are interested, is it ok to let them know there are several people interested and let them make a higher offer?
