Yes, exactly. XOT became Alpha Phi and there has not been a local since. I had heard ChiO has been interested for years. According to the old thread about the last expansion, Alpha Phi had tried two or three times before they made it to campus. Good luck to all groups presenting the end of February! I'm excited to find out who will be chosen, and to find out if my guess will be right haha.

Article about NPC expansion at Southeast Missouri State University.
"About 100 women interested in joining a Panhellenic sorority last fall were not able to because there was not enough space to accommodate them" - Bud, as the director of Greek Life, you either should or need to know better. I know you're a guy, so you need to check your understanding of the NPC recruitment process.

Ughhhhhh, I hate when they keep perpetuating that incorrect information. We need the GEICO (?) commercial..."That's not how this works, that's not how ANY of this works!"

I'm not sure the GL director said that. He said that the chapters are getting larger than the women are comfortable with, but the 100 women part wasn't a direct quote. He may have just said 100 women didn't get bids and the writer assumed, and we know what happens when you assume.

We will begin colonizing our closed Alpha Theta chapter at William and Mary later this month. Welcome back!

The recolonization of Alpha Xi Delta at UCLA has been postponed (no longer Fall 2016). Panhellenic will be voting this quarter on a new timeframe.

Info from TPTB:
2 chapters at UCLA want more time to get closer to total. 1 is about 85-90% near total. The other is roughly 70% near total.
Tri Delta is struggling. During Fall Recruitment, they got around 20 NMs when quota was nearly 70. They are under 100 members while Panhellenic chapter total is 170. (This is breaking my heart. I do not want this chapter to close!) DDD national HQ finally sent a consultant last quarter to be with the chapter for this school year. Winter COB just finished and their target was to get 15-20 NMs.
Anyone have a good idea how to resurrect a chapter? (I'm thinking about contacting DDD alumna, Peyton Lambton, from HGTV's "Going Yard" to renovate their backyard.)

Well, regardless, I know we're excited to recolonize when the time is right. Better to wait for the system to be the healthiest it can be!

I will say what not to do....stop focusing on freshmen only. Don't have open rush parties every single week. Don't forget to enjoy each other, because that's why you joined! Don't be afraid to cut dead weight and drama llamas.

Chi Omega posted on their official Snapchat account that today was bid day for the colony at Northeastern University (MA).
Edit: and from our newest GC Chi O sweptbystars there are 144 girls in the colony! Congrats to them!
