i had a friend who did indeed get that news at 18.
Prayers for all.

So I'm 27...and I'm having a colonoscopy tomorrow. I'm really just trying to be proactive...I saw what could be considered a symptom of colon cancer back in October, but ever since I made the initial appt with the doctor, I haven't seen it since. After what has gone on with my mom this year with her colon cancer...I'm really just trying to make sure it isn't that! I'm feeling pretty good that there won't be anything to worry about tomorrow...but hey, positive thoughts and prayers couldn't hurt!

So smart by not taking any risks considering your family history! Thinking good thoughts, I'm sure it will be fine!

Court's coming up next week re: custody again. Praying that the judge will see through her BS and let those boys stay somewhere safe.
Prayers/Positive energy appreciated.

Hope it went well! I've been begging my DH to get one - literally everyone in his immediate family has had colon cancer or pre-cancerous polyps. I told him that I will be furious with his making me move to Chicago, just so he can die of something about which he should have been more proactive. It scares me!

It did go well! Fortunately, they didn't find anything except some miniscule hemorrhoids, which was most likely causing what I saw that prompted this all back in October. The prep is the worst!! But overall, I'm glad I went and got it done. I greatly encourage EVERYONE, especially if they have family history or of general age (right now 50...however the colon cancer alliance is working on changing that to 30) to get one done!

Ok, so my boss has given me the go ahead to transfer my job to the Raleigh office, depending on if there is space for me. They said they would call them this week, and I haven't heard anything yet...which is making me nervous! It would make it soooo much easier for my husband and I when we move back to NC if I had a job as well!! Just keeping my fingers crossed...but positive thoughts would be nice!

I have good news! A co-worker that can be difficult is being helpful and an ex has come to realize that we are not ever be together.

Ashley
The news is not good.
There is nothing more to be done to prolong her life; they are now seeking only to ease her pain.
I am heart broken. She has been through so much. It is so unfair. She is 32.
I can't stand the thought of another funeral of a former student.

Last weekend, a fellow Mizzou student passed away in a car accident.
http://www.ksdk.com/news/article/351...-I-70-accident
I don't know her personally, nor do I know if she was in a sorority or not, but keep her family and friends in your prayers. What a terrible accident. Also, keep the other man involved in the accident in your thoughts as well. How awful would it be to be driving along and all the sudden have another vehicle coming right at you at high speeds? Terrible for everyone involved.

I'm so sorry SWTXBelle. Praying for her and her family. A 23 year old Eastern Michigan student was found murdered in her off campus apartment. I'll be keeping her family and friends in my prayers. And also praying that they catch the monster who did it, soon.

Ashley has passed.
I'm just grateful she is no longer in pain.

Several of my good friends have a mutual friend from grade school who is in dire need of all the prayers she can get. At 18, her brain tumor has come back for the third time, and later today she is going into yet another surgery.
I don't know her very well, but I do know she's a sweet, genuine girl, full of faith in God's love & plan for her, who had to move back home during her first semester of college because it was too much for her. Please keep her in your prayers, and if you're not religious, in your thoughts. Many thanks <3
