A few of the lockdown restrictions here have been lifted, and restaurants are allowed to seat customers at 25% capacity, so we went out to dinner for the first time since lockdown started.

We had smoked catfish dip to start, I had a pot pie made with pork debris and mashed potatoes, and my husband had a shrimp dish. We shared a nice bottle of pinot noir.

I was very impressed by the measures the restaurant put in place to keep everyone safe. Masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, etc. I was even given the option of taking a one-time-use paper menu or scanning a QR code and perusing the menu on my phone.

An Italian sub sandwich from a LOCAL food store. During all of 2020 I've kept track of total funds spent at a dozen LOCAL food establishments, keeping spending amounts as even as possible between stores. If a fav store hasn't yet reopened I save their amount aside for later use.

Made navy bean soup from scratch—dry beans soaked then cooked with onions and chunks of ham. It’s really warm here, but it just sounded good...there’s enough to freeze for one more meal.
We cooked out for Memorial Day last night—cook-outs for two without friends and family leave something to be desired! I actually deviled FOUR eggs!!

We went to a real drive-in restaurant last night - Super Dawgs. I had my char dog & veggies, and hubby had a grilled cheese & Black Kow. We were delighted!

Tonight, we have leftovers from Sunday.

Sounds yummy!

I had broccoli soup, and the man of the house had fetticine alfredo.
I had dental work today, and will be on soft food for about a week.
