Cheerio - I'm curious as to why you think Alpha Phi was the only sorority selected to present? Do you work with Greek life at Bucknell or are familiar with that school? Thanks!

Doesnt suprise me. AOII is big in Kentucky. In fact I think quite a few of their HQ staff are from Kentucky chapters. Their International President is from the AOII chapter at my alma mater, Eastern Kentucky. She won Distinguished Sorority Alumna last year at Greek Weekend.

Just to clear up any misconceptions, so far I have only been told that Alpha Phi is presenting. There could possibly be 1, 2, or 3 other sororities presenting, but that information has not been passed along.
There have been cases where I have received information that a group is presenting, posted it, and then two or more days later I am sent information that other groups are presenting. When I am given the extra information, I announce it, and post it. So, there could be other groups presenting, I just haven't been informed yet.

I was thinking the same thing. KY is like AOII central.

Owensboro is right on the Ohio River, and the closest AOII chapter to it would actually be The University of Evansville in Indiana.
(Evansville to Owensboro is about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes depends on the route and what side of each town you are going to)

Thanks for the update. Do you know if this is a stacked extension, or will both groups colonize at once?

Beta Theta Pi is returning to Baylor University. Good luck to the new colony.

Two groups! I thought they were only choosing one. Great news! Good luck to all groups that made presentations! I'm excited to see who is chosen to re(colonize)!

Stacked. One coming next spring and the other in 2015. See if this link works. I'm on my phone so it's dicey. http://www.columbiaspectator.com/201...pters-columbia

Alpha Sigma Tau has closed their chapter at Christian Brothers University(TN). Closure was due to low membership numbers.

Today was bid day for Alpha Xi Delta's colony at UMD! The ceremony was lovely and I am so thankful I was able to be a part of it. The colony girls seem really enthusiastic and ready to get started. Here's a phone picture from online, but there was a professional photographer there today so I'm sure higher quality pictures will surface:

72 beautiful new ladies by my count, we'll see if they post an official number. Their shirts, bags, and other bid day gear was adorable! There were a lot of initiates of the Beta Eta chapter on hand, which was amazing. I could go on and on, but basically everything was perfect and I'm so excited for them!
