Dwarves/LP Boycott Snow White & The Huntsman

The dwarf/LP groups are ticked that "normal sized" actors were used in this version of Snow White. I thought DrPhil would be particularly amused that the LP are comparing this to digitally blackfacing actors.

I'd never heard of it, but after reading the IMDB page, I'd think it would be boycotted for being stupid. It does have Peter Dinklage, and he's kind of a big deal, especially now with Game of Thrones.

Pardon my late arrival, AlphaFrog.
The dwarf/LP groups can decide which movies they want to protest and which battles they want to fight. As with any other minority group, they do not have to pick every battle and they do not have to care what battles WE think they should choose. 
As for the the blackface comparison, I can see some similarities since these are roles designed for dwarfs/LP. Not to mention the concept of dwarfs/LP having mainstream acting roles without being labeled as "the short person". Other than that, every group wants their struggle to be comparable to a more easily identified struggle. Stop piggy backing, dwarfs/LP groups. Get your own.

Saw SWATH (and reviewed it in the movie reviews thread!), but I don't understand why they couldn't use Little People. When I left the theater, my first reaction was, "ok, Mirror Mirror did it right, why couldn't SWATH?" And I said as much to someone I know who is boycotting the film.
